These were some of the key topics at the VI international conference organized by National Writing Centers Consortium, Human–AI Synergy for Effective English Language Teaching of Science Communication in a Multidisciplinary, Multicultural Context. This high-profile event united experts and AI-enthusiasts  to share insights and discuss issues that most educators and researchers are facing.

We recognize that AI is not just a fleeting trend, but part and parcel of education and science in present and future. At the conference, the AWC Director Svetlana Suchkova and manager Natalia Zharkova ran a practice-oriented workshop AWC AI Workshop Series: Your Roadmap to a Literature Review (Part 1: Smart searching and reading. Part 2: Tools for working with non-English databases), The session’s aim was to demonstrate how AI can serve as a valuable ally in the process of writing up a literature review. Participants engaged with the tools presented, compared and evaluated them to decide whether these innovations could be incorporated into their work. We were grateful for the interest the workshop sparked and happy to answer the questions.

A heartfelt thank you to our colleagues for organizing such an impactful event. If you’d like to catch up on what you missed, the conference broadcast is available here (Day 1), (Day 2).
