Clients:

• full time HSE employees

• Ph.D. students (with a letter of recommendation from the supervisor).
The supervisor’s letter of recommendation is required at least one day before the consultation. Send it to awc.hse@gmail.com.

THE AWC Policy

The Center neither proofreads texts nor guarantees publication. Consultations are aimed at helping authors develop as writers. Being educational, consultations require the author’s active participation in the discussion of text improvement. Individual consultations are free of charge for HSE staff.

The Center does NOT:

•  run consultations without the author's presence

•  translate texts from Russian into English

•  edit texts after being translated with online tools (i.e. Google Translate)

•  search for a suitable journal or a conference

Consultations last 60 minutes. They are currently held online. Please read the instruction on how to participate in an online consultation here.

How to sign up for consultation:

•  Fill in the registration form.

•  After filling out the form you will receive an email notification that you have successfully submitted the application and currently your application is under consideration by the AWC manager. If you haven't, it means the consultation hasn't been booked. Please, in this case fill out the form again. Shortly after the first notification, you will receive a notification that your application has been approved by the manager.

Recommendations:

• choose a target journal before you start writing

• read the journal’s guide for authors and strictly follow it in terms of paper structure, format, and style

• read and analyze articles from the journal to gain an understanding of the journal’s expectations

• carefully work on your draft yourself, using online tools to reduce the number of errors, e.g., www.grammarly.com, https://spellcheckplus.com, https://www.analyzemywriting.com/

Compliance with these rules will allow us to organize work efficiently. Violation of the rules may be grounds for service denial.

Good luck! We are always ready to help you. Please write us about your released publications.
