Tea talk: A productive discussion on contemporary art
On Thursday last week, art lovers gathered at the AWC to discuss contemporary art over a cup of tea. Participants honed their debating skills in English, presenting contradictory viewpoints in a persuasive manner.
The speaker Julia Chanturidze had thoughtfully prepared materials, which aided the participants in constructing and organizing their arguments. The creative tasks were cleverly designed to incorporate useful vocabulary and grammatical structures, enhancing the participants' language proficiency.
This is what the colleagues think about the workshop:
-
“The practice was highly beneficial for improving both our language and performance skills.”
-
“The verbal discussion was successful in creating a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment, with the teacher or speaker employing effective strategies to encourage participation and maintain interest.”
-
“The debate that took place was engaging and stimulating, with participants presenting compelling arguments and counterarguments.”
If you have any ideas for our discussion club, write in! Five-o'clock tea at the AWC to be continued.
