The AWC has picked out free events that may interest you in terms of developing your English language skills. Join us! We have included a selection of both regular and unique events available to everyone.

  • Learn English through music: a series that provides an in-depth look into the world of American music and its intersection with language and culture. Every Monday, explore and understand vocabulary, idioms, grammar structures, and the nuances inherent in the poetry of lyrics.

  • Write flash fiction in English: 12-series workshop led by award-winning author Nelly Shulman. It will teach you how to tell compelling stories in less than 1,500 words. 

  • Train coaching for English language teachers: in this course by Join Dr. Brandon Sherman, participants will explore various approaches and structures for coaching support and develop the skills necessary for successful coaching.

  • Participate at the English conversation club: engage in lively discussions with native English speakers, other English learners, and gain the confidence you need to share your thoughts.

  • Activate your English skills: the 14 special sessions dedicated to supporting English language educators. The series is aimed at boosting your English proficiency and enhancing your teaching skills. Anne Damiecka will share with you new tools, resources, and classroom techniques to energize your careers and students.

  • Be a superhero on social media: a twelve-session seminar designed to empower participants with the essential digital literacy skills for crafting a trustworthy online presence. Learn to harness digital tools to enhance your personal brand, establish an authentic and reliable voice, and post fact-based content online.

  • Discuss media literacy in the club: during these weekly meetings discuss and analyze different topics connected to media literacy to help you become a more savvy media consumer. No previous knowledge is necessary, just a desire to learn more!
