From procrastination to inspiration: Overcoming psychological barriers in writing
In the modern age of online communication, we value every opportunity to meet face-to-face, interact with colleagues, exchange ideas, and enjoy good vibes.
The offline format was particularly fitting for the workshop on the psychological challenges of writing, which was conducted by Ekaterina Redkina, a teacher and psychologist, earlier this week.
At the workshop, participants discussed typical difficulties faced by authors, such as the fear of a blank page and procrastination. The colleagues also shared their personal challenges and discussed strategies for overcoming them. Ekaterina gave an overview of the most effective pre-writing techniques, and the participants tested some of them to find out the benefits and drawbacks of each method and decide on their personal preferences.
This is what the colleagues think about the workshop:
- "We learnt a lot of useful techniques for starting writing and fighting procrastination."
- "Inspirational, highly qualified teacher; she created a warm and friendly atmosphere."
- "An amazingly useful workshop, full of insights!"
We are excited to announce the upcoming workshop on AI tools, which will be held online. Additionally, we invite you to join us for a face-to-face discussion as part of our "Five-o'clock Tea at the AWC" project on October 19. This will be a great opportunity to network with colleagues and engage in stimulating conversations in English on a variety of topics related to modern art. We look forward to seeing you there!
