The best Saturday ever

For me it was November 26, when I took part in the AWC one-day course “Public Speaking Crash Course” with the trainer Zhenya Bakin.

The best Saturday ever

For many people, and I am not an exception, giving a presentation is a daunting task. What makes a presentation effective? How can one deliver a speech in a logical and simple way that allows the audience to take away the key messages? These are the topics of this highly practical interactive course.

We choose a topic and by the end of the day we had a well-prepared structured, presentation. Moreover, we boosted out confidence as presenters. Ten out of 10 - that’s our evaluation of the experience:

  • “There were many insights, from the importance of an initial message of the presentation, to seeing myself through the eyes of my colleagues, and what's more we have got the whole system of criteria to make a good presentation, which is very useful.”

  • “I've learned some useful techniques that now can apply in my presentation, such as Jump start. Also, now I know what points must be covered in the introduction and the conclusion.”

  • “Even a short presentation requires a lot of effort and time in its preparation. I became familiar with the structure of the speech. I learned useful phrases for public speaking and the context of their use.”

My thanks go to Zhenya and the co-participants. I enjoyed every minute of the course.
