Laying the foundation in one day

In the aftermath of the pandemic, we seem to have forgotten that once we met face-to-face every day instead of teaching and learning online. But what if you are tired of staring at the screen and miss the vibrant vibe of offline communication? The solution is obvious: come to the Academic Writing Center!

The colleagues who took the course “Paragraph as a Text Building Block” with Tatiana Martseva on October 11, benefited not only from mastering new skills, but also from live interaction, an opportunity to ask questions, share, and gauge the trainer’s and groupmates’ reactions. Many of them admitted that they felt it was the best way for them to learn:

  • “A great engaging course! I was involved all day long and felt a good supportive atmosphere. The end of the day assignment, writing our own paragraph, was absolutely great. I would love to take similar courses on academic writing.”
  • “The course was very informative, well structured, and super useful for academic writers. Lots of takeaways: the difference between Russian and Western types of writing, practical advice from the trainer and new tips on writing paragraphs. The paragraph structure has become clearer and I have got to know different types of paragraphs. Thank you very much!”
  • “I liked the way Tatiana engaged the audience in the discussion, and it is clear that she was sincerely interested in presenting the materials. Overall, the course was useful, I got several fresh ideas. The trainees were truly interested and actively participated in discussions.”

Many thanks to Tatiana for her energy, valuable material, and encouragement!

Would you like to get the best of learning and connecting? Do you enjoy a warm and friendly environment as much as useful content? Join our offline workshop on the principles of effective academic communication and another one-day course in December.
