AWC is big in Japan

Imagine a conference entitled “What is a writing center?” We could not miss the chance, could we? AWC’s director Svetlana Suchkova made a presentation at the 14th Symposium on Writing Centers in Asia, hosted by Hiroshima University in February 2025.

The discussion at the Symposium focused on the evolving role of writing centers in the age of AI. The AWC experience of sustaining the Center’s relevance and incorporating AI advancements into its work provoked many questions and comments. We are always glad to collaborate with colleagues and looking forward to next year’s convention.
