Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan goes on

Ishenaly Arabaev Kyrgyz State University hosted an international forum on "Modern Competencies of the Teacher in the Context of Digital Transformation of Education" June 14-16, 2023. Educators from Korea, Japan, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia participated in the forum.

The AWC Director, Svetlana Suchkova, presented a plenary report and conducted a training session on developing writing skills for research publishing purposes.

We asked Svetlana about the event:

1) Why did you accept an invitation to participate in the forum?

I think the topic of the conference is very timely as we can already measure the impact of the pandemic on teaching/learning. It’s always great to establish new relationships, to learn from each other, and  to share expertise and best practices. Such international events contribute to mutual understanding and friendship.

2) What was your most vivid impression of the forum?

Probably the Kyrgyz hospitality and their willingness to launch joint projects. The colleagues would also like to set up similar centers at their own universities. And we’re  looking  forward to supporting them in any way we can.

Overall, it was a very positive and productive experience, and we hope to continue building on our relationship with the Kyrgyz university community and educators from other cultures.
