Proof-Listening

We are proud to offer you yet another service from AWC known as Proof-Listening!

If you are about to give an academic talk in English (say, at a conference), and need a sharp ear to fish out your slips of the tongue, please visit HSE Academic Writing Center. We can offer you several young native speakers of English who are willing to help you with your talk. Our professionals will let you know about your (possible) mistakes, mispronunciations and misconceptions. Moreover, they will pay enough attention to the structure of your talk and your body language.

This is how Proof-Listening works

You will have about 40 minutes with a specially trained native speaker of English to go through your oral presentation. Our professionals will listen to your report and give you feedback on your performance (pronunciation, structure, body language, etc…) We suggest 15-15-10 framework with 15 minutes of speaking, 15 minutes of feedback and (here comes the fun-part!) 10 minutes of Take-Two (with your presentation repeated). The privilege will be granted one time only to those who were chosen to participate in a conference.
