New academic year — a new chapter

We’re starting this chapter with plenty to look back on. Over the past semester, the Academic Writing Center held a wide range of events, launched a new project, and even marked the Center’s fifteenth anniversary with a major international conference.

Now, for a few numbers. Here’s what the Spring 2026 semester looked like:

• 4 courses

• 6 seminars

• 284 consultations

• 1 in-person masterclass as part of the Five-o’clock Tea at the AWC project

• The 2nd international conference Celebrate Writing with Us

We’ve brought all of this together in our poster — take a look to revisit the semester and see just how much happened over the course of a few months.

But the past academic year wasn’t only about the formats we already know. This year, the Center also launched a new project — Writing Sprints. It’s another way to make writing a regular part of your routine, find time to work on your texts, and avoid facing the blank page alone.
